Samara Tana, an Oakland-based artist with deep roots in the Bay Area, specializes in traditional Balinese painting using Chinese ink and watercolor. Mentored by her father, master artist I Made Moja, she has honed her skills in capturing the essence of the natural world, particularly botanical elements. Alongside her visual arts practice, Samara is also a dedicated Balinese dancer and landscape designer.
