Asri Wulandari is a Bay Area-based visual artist. As an artist at the intersection of multiple identities including refugee, queer, trans Muslim of color Asri's work embraces the internal and external forces that can create, undo, and transform identity. Asri works in a wide range media including video, performances, sculptures, and digital images. In many of their works quotidian materials such as hair, make-up, burqas, and flowers unfold into rich references to continual transformation.
