Clara Spars was raised in Santa Rosa, California by her Balinese mother and American father, and she visits her family in Babakan, Canggu whenever she can. After graduating from Stanford University with a B.A. and M.A. in English and completing a Fulbright scholarship in Asturias, Spain, she now lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she enjoys drawing and giving handpoked tattoos in her free time.
